The owners of Northlake Mall continue to deliver on their promise to reimagine the space as a mixed-use property for office tenants supported by additional restaurants and other businesses. Emory Healthcare began moving into the former Sears building late last year and construction continues on the property.
In the center of the building, true to the renderings released last year, the former fountain area on the ground floor has been replaced with a staircase including auditorium style seating. This and other common areas will be available to tenants and the public. Senior citizens can still walk around the interior of the building, but they will need a time machine if they are looking for Spencer’s, Radio Shack, or Wicks ‘N’ Sticks.
