Over the past few months the CID has replaced the majority of signposts in the heart of Downtown Tucker with decorative signposts and signs. The intent is to expand the look and feel of Main Street. The project was initiated through a partnership with the Mainstreet Tucker Alliance and grew to include a larger area. This includes Cowan Road and Idlewood Road down to Tucker Middle School, but did not include state routes like Lavista Road and Hugh Howell Road.
In the coming year more decorative signposts will be placed in other commercial areas within the CID. As with most endeavors, over time small improvements tend to make a big difference.
