The Tucker-Northlake CID is please to honor two outstanding DeKalb County Police Officers for their commitment to making Tucker and the surrounding areas safe. At the North Central Precinct Holiday Luncheon held on December 11, the CID presented the Officer of the Year award to Officer JN Brim. Officer Brim had many accomplishments this year, including strengthening relationships with apartment owners, and starting the High 5 program, where officers and detectives greet children as they get off the school bus to give kids a positive view of police officers at a young age.

At the Tucker Precinct Luncheon, held on December 18, Evening Watch Officer ME Brooks was awarded Tucker Precinct Officer of the Year. During the year, Officer Brooks handled a total of 1,642 calls for service and issued 143 citations.

Furthermore, Officer Brooks made 62 total arrests of which 21 were felony arrests. In addition to his primary patrol duties, Officer Brooks also works with the Mobile Crisis Unit to provide assistance to individuals in the County with behavioral health issues.

The Tucker-Northlake CID is proud to serve as a sponsor of both of these events to share our support with the men and women of law enforcement who do so much to protect us from harm. Thank you, officers for your service!
