Since 2015, the Tucker-Northlake CID has provided street sweeping for a number of streets throughout the CID as one of our many beautification initiatives. More than 35 miles of curbs and medians are serviced each month including those along Lavista Road and Lawrenceville Highway as well as throughout Downtown Tucker and around Northlake Mall. Each sweeping removes an average of 7300 pounds of trash and debris from the roadways, for a total of approximately 88,000 pounds per year.

CID Beautification Committee Chair Honey Van De Kreke says that “Street sweeping not only benefits our stakeholders by improving curb appeal, it also keeps trash and debris from clogging up the storm drains. It is a great example of the type of service that the CID can provide efficiently and cost effectively to stakeholders that would not be feasible for individual business owners to take on themselves.”
