Keep DeKalb Beautiful offers a number of programs where individuals, groups, and businesses have an opportunity to improve a place or area. The partnership between Keep DeKalb Beautiful and the Tucker-Northlake CID has been in place for years with the CID participating in the Adopt-A-Road Program. This initiative gives concerned individuals the opportunity to help their local community environment by collecting litter and beautifying streets in their neighborhood by adopting a mile or more of road. The CID has adopted Lavista Road throughout the Northlake area, as well as Main Street in Downtown Tucker. Signs were recently installed along Lavista indicating our participation in the program.
Other programs offered include the Adopt-A-Spot Program where individuals or groups are able to adopt an area or road for less than a mile and the Adopt-A-MARTA Bus Stop Program.
