The Railroad Avenue cleanup project lead by the Tucker-Northlake CID on April 30th was a success. Residents and local business owners filled 32 trash bags, found four tires, four shopping carts, a car bumper, chair cushions, and cut back much of the brush extending over the road. The catch of the day was a toilet pulled from the base of a tree.
The wooded right of way, especially along the CSX tracks, is an easy target for those who missed the message from Woodsy Owl to “give a hoot and don’t pollute.” Thanks to Keep DeKalb Beautiful for providing supplies, everyone who came out to work, and all those who make an effort to keep Tucker clean and green.
