Calling all artists and creative cow-munity members! Here’s one pulled from the pasture. Are you ready to show us your cow art?
As part of the launch of the DeKalb Council for the Arts earlier this year, CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson gave every city in DeKalb County a life-size fiberglass cow. She has requested that each city hire an artist to paint the cow, using County funds, and display it within the city.
Why cows? Because DeKalb County was once known for its dairy farms. More importantly, this project represents the County’s effort to engage the community through public art; the cow is merely the canvas.

The City of Tucker has selected Johns Homestead Park as both the location and inspiration for the Tucker cow. More details are available on the City’s Procurement Page.
Independent of this County and City project, we would like to see what Tucker-themed cows you can create using this sample image.

Send us your cows at info@tuckernorthlake.com, and we will post the best ones on our website. What constitutes a Tucker theme? That is open to artistic interpretation. Political, mean-spirited, or otherwise inappropriate cows will be deleted from the herd without notice.
