This week the Tucker-Northlake Community Improvement District completed construction on a sidewalk and ADA ramps along Lavista Road to fill in the gap between Lavista Executive Park Drive and Northlake Parkway. Improving walkability is one of the primary goals identified in the Tucker-Northlake CID Master Plan, and this sidewalk gap had been identified as a priority project. This sidewalk is the first project completed in a series of CID-sponsored transportation improvement projects set to break ground in FY20.

The project was funded in part through a Multi-Modal Safety grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). By leveraging CID funds with grant money, the CID is able to increase the return on investment of our stakeholders’ contributions.
